Bio

Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Jesus Polanco currently lives and works in New York City. He graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (Denver, CO) in 1987. His awards include a 1995 New York Foundation for the Arts Award in drawing and a 1991 Works on Paper Fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts and Humanities. He has recently exhibited his work in shows at Strong Modern, Williamsburg Art & Historical Society; Brooklyn, NY (1998), Really, Unfinished Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (1997); and Rule Modern and Contemporary, Denver, CO (1997). He is currently represented by Rule Gallery, Denver.
